I paint my nails myself, I’ve never been and had any sort of extensions or gels. My nails are natural and I’m proud of them… Not so when they break right in the quick but let’s hope they don’t do that for a while or else they’ll all have the chop 🙈
So here’s this week’s look
Taken out in my garden as there was sunlight and needed to take advantage of it.
These are the nail varnishes used and I love the 60 second ones from Rimmel.
The technic one is very old but still adds a little something to a plain colour.
I reckon the price was about £9 for all 3 so that’s alot cheaper than going to the salon.
Last year I had the idea of featuring some bloggers and giving them a shout out so I thought I’d bring it back this year
Starting off my Feature Friday series we have
All things Gee
Gees blog is a little escape for her and hopefully those who read it. It is mostly a blog full of book reviews, she also love makeup and beauty. It contains the odd theatre review aswell
Social media links:
I really think you should go give her blog a nosey and give it some love
Secondly we have….
House of Kesar
Marion is a lifestyle and fashion blogger based in Nairobi. She mostly blogs about things in her niche that she loves and thinks will be helpful to others.
Pinterest: House of kesar
Instagram: House of kesar
You know what to do go give Marion your support.
Look out next Friday for more bloggers you can find out about and follow.
Til then my loves
I want you all to really digest this…
You can’t help who you are as a person, what choices you want to persue in life – whether it’s your career or something else. It’s whatever your heart tells you to follow.
You can’t help who you fall for, whether it’s the opposite sex or the same sex, religion or race.
You can help by being happy with what your heart or head has chosen for you.
Keep being you and staying true.
Til next time
I just wanted to do a quick post today.
I could look at these two pics I have of Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe and compare the shit out of how beautiful they are and how so many people including myself think they are the ultimate beauty icon, Which they are.
But instead I look at this pic and see the beauty in myself, maybe not perfect but I appreciate all that I am even when my skin is not flawless like theirs I can still be as beautiful as I want to feel.
Til next time
OK Hol, take a deep breath and type… So here goes
Whether it’s the size of your waist, your boobs or your penis. Does it really matter?
I have been on the slimmer side and the curvier side
I’ve had big boobs and barely there ones too
I don’t have a penis and never will 🙈 let’s just clarify. But if I did if I was a man I really wouldn’t be obsessing over its size.
So many of us really do stress over things like
“oh no I’m a size 14 I used to be a 10. Or my boobs don’t look great in this top.”
It’s not your boobs it’s the top.
Embrace your shape no matter what it’s size is and appreciate all that it is and not dwell on what it isn’t.
While we are talking about your baps or your bulge. That special someone will love you regardless of size. So start loving it ❤️
YES I’VE DONE IT
IT’S BEEN GOING AROUND IN MY MIND
ALL THE WORDS I WANT TO WRITE
WERE REALLY HARD TO FIND
I finally got my act together and thought about this book i have been willing to write. I want to make it perfect, not just for me but perfect for all who read it.
So today I have come up with a plan and of course the title.
The cover at the moment is simple and I think I may leave it like that as nobody likes a garish looking book.
So if I plan to do two or three pages a night, I hope to have it completed by the end of the year if not before.
YES MY BOOK WILL BE HELPFUL, WHAT ELSE DID YOU EXPECT. YOU’LL WANT TO REACH FOR IT MAYBE IN A TIME OF NEED.
Wish me luck 🍀
Gone are the days where people simply sat down at a desk or a, table and wrote in a book… I mean I still do it but things started to consume our lives….and get in the way.
Making sure your phone is fully charged so you can scroll through the whole of Instagram liking pics of peoples lives instead of creating your own life.
Having your ego boosted by how many likes /loves and whatever Emoji you have. Sure it can make you happy temporarily but is it that important to you. Personally I just share and if I get comments and likes then I do it’s not a goal I aim for like some do.
Sometimes it even gets in the way of relationships. Do you ever think would you be able to spend a week say with your significant other with no social media interaction. You love them more I’d hope to put it aside for the time you spend with them.
Social media isn’t going anywhere soon so do yourself a favour and look away for a bit. Don’t consume this thing we call life by obsessing over someone else’s.
