Here’s a different take on monthly favourites that i may use and adapt in future posts
Reading…. The poetic underground
Erin Hanson is such a talented woman and decided to buy her book even though i have all of her poems saved on Pinterest.
Taken from the book #GIRLBOSS Netflix have turned it into a series i am loving it so far seeing how she builds up her status i am about 5 episodes in. So far so good.
Eating….Milky ways always been a favourite
When i was little and had a spare 15p i would toddle off to the shop for one of these now i can get a few multipacks and they aren’t too fattening either.
Writing….My next book – still in the planning process
I wrote my personal story and published it last month and i want to write another book. It gave me such a buzz.
Wearing…. Pale pink
i’m obsessed at the mo but then again anything pink is great. It’s my favourite colour.
Listening to…. A playlist on spotify
I made it when i was in hospital a bit cheesy but i love it ( Wham, Chesney Hawkes and Whitney to name a few)
Quote I’m loving….
Lets hope I can report that next month there has been sunshine, very typical English weather.
May I’m ready for you 🌸
Avon Calling…… ha ha
I absolutely love a good nosey through the Avon catalogue and you can always find something either for you or a gift for a friend and at an affordable price which is why Avon appeals to me.
This is one of a few posts that i am going to feature on my blog about Avon so keep a look out.
So the summers on its way… our skin and hair need to be looked after so I’ve bought some lovely bits that are going to see me into summer and I think they are a must have for anyone…ok preferably female but males if your in touch with your feminine side knock yourself out.
1. DAILY HAIR REFRESHER – RASPBERRY AND HIBISCUS £2.50
Adds a beautiful summery scent to your locks (comes in other scents)
2. MAGIX PRIME AND SET SPRAY £3.50
Your make up stays put on a hot day with a spritz of this. Tried and tested 🙂
3. SKIN SO SOFT – DRY OIL SPRAY- ORIGINAL + JOJOBA £1.99
When you get out the bath/ shower or the sea spray this on all over to keep your legs looking and feeling smooth.
4. DREAMY LAVENDER AND CHAMOMILE SCENTED SPRITZ £3.00
Use when you need that unwind and relax after a hot day spray on your PJs, duvet cover or just in your room. Lavender has so many great benefits. I love it and use it all the time
I ordered mine online which is the best thing as back in the day you didn’t have such a luxury. My Avon Representative Sarah is lovely and is always at hand for any questions I have. I’ll leave her link below so you can use her too.

I decided over the Easter weekend from the Thursday to the Tuesday I was going to delete all my social media and try and not be consumed by what was going on with everyone else and how the Easter bunny came…I know he’s not real cos if he was he would have delivered some to this chocoholic right here.
Don’t get me wrong I love being on social media as you connect with so many amazing people that lift you up and make you smile even on them shitty days.
I did find though that I was itching to go on my blogging instagram as seeing all their posts inspire me very much…but I resisted.
I was missing out on some amazing twitter chats and seeing what other people had put on their blogs as that’s mainly where I find peoples blogs who don’t have WordPress.
I really didn’t miss Facebook as I find that of late it’s lost its appeal and you can never go past one day without someone bitching about someone else…discuss that stuff in private not with the whole of your friends list.
Snapchat is probably the one where you don’t miss it if you don’t know what’s been posted…Mainly on mine people just post stories. I’m pretty sure there will be plenty more stories.
I just couldn’t stay away from Pinterest I had to keep myself sane by pinning all the ideas I came across and when I couldn’t sleep Pinterest was there for me as always.
I learnt that life still goes on whether you are on social media or not and it’ll probably be exactly the same when you go back to it.
Its been a while since I done a beauty post so I thought I would show you a few things i’m loving from The Body Shop
Also keep an eye out on their website for discount codes as they are always having amazing offers.
I absolutely love doing my eyes up and the eyeliner and mascara if not taken off fully leaves me with beautiful panda eyes. However since using this Camomile Gentle Eye Make Up Remover I have not had any dark circles from make up only the ones I support from being tired. Perfect addition to anyones night routine.
I am using this like its going out of fashion at the moment. I have been suffering with bad breakouts and tea tree as you know is the perfect medicine for them. I bought this in a Tea Tree Rescue Kit a few months ago so its coming in handy. You can use it whatever age. Spots aren’t just for the teenagers anymore. Stress and hormones have a lot to answer for.
I am a huge lover of Lavender its such a fresh and relexing scent and I saw this fragrance oil and thought I know what to use it for i’ll put it in my oil burner. So when I have a bath and fancy staying in there a while I will put this on and let the aroma circulate the room. There are so many other things you can use fragrance oils for which I will touch on in another post.
In one of my favourites you would have seen I am a big fan of this gorgeous Banana Shampoo so much so I bought it in bulk. Well it was 2 for £7 so it was rude not to take advantage of the offer. My mum uses it too so its a win win. We both have highlighted hair and it definitely brightens up our hair too.
Do you have a favourite from The Body Shop?
The horrible thing is that no matter where you go or what you do in life you are always going to come across someone who thinks they are better than you.
They will go out of their way to make a point that they don’t like you and this comes in all sorts of forms.
- verbally to your face
- Visually on the computer/phone
- Rumours being spread
- Actual bodily harm
I myself endured the bullies and it ended up me being physically bullied and beat black and blue. How do people walk about knowing they are making another person feel crap about themselves?
I’ve come through the other side and wrote my book about how it affected me and others shouldn’t be afraid to speak up.
If you click here you can read my book – Bullied for being me on Amazon
Do not let them win. You are worth fighting for. Believe in yourself that you are worth so much more than you think. Don’t let negativity get you down. Find a positive in every day and you will come out on top.
Ask me a few years ago who does yoga I would have said the flexible and the super fit. In their Lycra gear and both legs around their neck showing off.
Fast forward a few years and here’s little me attempting a few poses as they are called. Some are easier than others and some just need a bit of practice.
I find panpipes are is most soothing music as you don’t have any lyrics to put you off. If you think you can button it go for some acoustic songs.
I started doing yoga as I was getting bad anxiety and it let me forget all my worries for a while. Though I am no pro I really do enjoy it.
You Can do yoga whatever age or size you are as long as you feel ok whilst doing it. Find 5-10 mins if that’s all you can spare and zone out. You’ll enjoy it trust me.
I had to have an operation there were no two ways about it.
So January 2015 I signed my life away… it was a 6 1/2 hour procedure and when I was being put to sleep I thought this is the end. Now I have a wicked scar that has a story behind it and here it is.
I had to have a bladder stoma made as I couldn’t wee normally. It suddenly came on one summers day 2013.I hadn’t had a wee for 8 hours and had drunk hell of a lot. I had gone into retention and they drained out 1.5 litres of we No wonder I was in agony.
I had the most unflattering leg bags to wear day and night with a catheter for a year and a half until all avenues were explored and a stoma was decided.
2 years later I’ve had my ups and downs with it and it’s weird that I’ll never wee sat down again, but it makes me special I guess.
My illness is invisible and many don’t even know what’s up until I tell them. Then all the questions come which I really don’t mind.
It’s made me a stronger person and made me look at life differently and appreciate the little things in life just as much as the big things.
