Blimey, didn’t April just fly by…
I have had a think of what things I wanted to put in my favourites and here is what I came up with.
You really won’t believe it but I was nosing around our local St Margarets Hospice Charity Shop and what did I spot on the top shelf but this beauty by Alexa Chung. I had borrowed it from our library a while back and it was £15 online so I thought one day I’ll get it. I managed to save my self a huge amount as it was £1.75. I love it and its pink too which makes me even happier.
I had never purchased from everything5pounds.com and then I saw it on twitter I think and thought I would have a nose and I love what I managed to pick up. A grey sweater with ‘Crush on you’ embroidered on the left boob area. A denim mini skirt which will come in handy for back garden sunbathing. Lastly, a shoulder bag with a cloud and a rainbow. Its just big enough for all my bits and pieces. All 5 pounds each.
This is my ringtone I heard it on the Schwartzkopf advert and thought I was such a catchy tune and hadn’t really heard of Jax Jones before. Its one of those songs that gets you in a happy mood.
Ok, we have Roxanne from thebeautykingdom.com
Then its Abi from Ramblingsofablonde.co.uk
Then Sophia from Sophiaaaxo.com
Finally Gail from Gailhenderson.blog
All 4 of these ladies are funny, kind and inspirational in their own way. I enjoy interacting with them on a daily basis and glad to have met them online and hope to have them as friends for life.
I saw this quote on someones Instagram and I instantly loved it and found it on google to save. I know that the majority of people would be beautiful inside out but there’s a minority that would not. Wouldn’t it be cool though if you could actually do this just for an hour or so?
Thanks for stopping by…
I hope you had a fab April and lets hope May brings us plenty of sunshine.
I may not be the best at photography and fancy flatlays . But one thing i am is passionate with my writing. Every word that’s written comes deep inside my heart. If i can inspire someone or make them smile then I’m a happy chappy.
They say do things in life that you enjoy and nothing feels better than helping someone whether it’s a bit of advice, something relatable or a funny story of mine that can cheer them up.
Just a short and sweet post
Til next time
A year ago I wrote Don’t forget me and it was very hard to write as it’s about my dear Dad who suffers from Vascular Dementia which is when its progressive and really takes a hold of the sufferer.
I now write about him again as in that time period I had only seen him once and it’s been heartbreaking.
Since my dad left my Mum 12 years ago he has been controlled by the person he went off with. Before he got ill in 2011 he would have to sneak behind her back to come see his 4 children.
We never get told if Dad is in hospital and she never answers the phone when we attempt to ring. I know he hasn’t forgot me because on Saturday I managed to find out from the hospital I was a patient in that dad was in there. So for about 15 mins I could have a loving Father and Daughter chinwag.
It may be the last time I see him because I went against his partner but she needs to remember he’s my Dad and was in my life before he was in hers.
I’ll never give up on him. He brought me into this world and I intend on not letting someone dictate to me when I can see my number one man.
Please fight for the people you love, they are worth fighting for.
If I’m being totally honest…
I haven’t been putting my all into my blog and I know I’m a poorly person generally but it is no excuse to give less attention to something I love.
So here are a few things I am going to apply from today onwards
Make time in the evening to go through WordPress reader and Bloglovin and read blogs. I do read blogs and comment don’t get me wrong but I don’t do it as often as I should…so I’ll be giving all your blogs some love for sure if I’m following you.
Apply myself a bit more with all social media platforms that I’ve put into a table I made above and make sure I do something every day on each. Its all about the fab people in the blogging community.
I bought my Sony A5000 about 3 years ago and the reason I didn’t spend about 200 more on a more technical one is that I don’t use it to excess…most of my pics are taken on my phone. I do want to start using my camera now the weather is getting a bit better. Then I can share my snaps with you.
Last year I used to take part in a lot of Twitter chats most nights actually and I’ve made some really lovely blogger friends through it. However, I kind of pushed my evenings of chats to one side and like we do get engrossed in YouTube. I need to find some balance for both. Because both are equally as enjoyable…but to be fair twitter chats are interactive so here is my pledge to engage more.
What things do you do to make sure you’re on top of your blogger game?

This quote speaks volumes to me and I hope it does you.
You’ve all heard –
- Don’t run before you learn how to walk.
- Take one step at a time.
- If you do something do it well
Well they are all trying to get the same message across. That each thing you want to achieve is a goal and you just need to focus on it but don’t hurry it. You want to get there with a sense of I did it and it was worth every step along the way to reach the goal…
You never just tick off your achievements without putting in effort so please just take it steady whatever you are aiming for in life and make sure you wear a smile and have a spring in your step while doing it.
Happy Thursday, thanks for stopping by

I remember last year doing a Morning routine for you which you can see here
So I guess you need a night one to go with it so here’s what usually happens of an evening.
I turn on my fairy lights, it gets me in the chilled kind of mood and when the lights aren’t so bright you are telling your eyes its time to unwind.
I grab myself my favourite mug and do myself an Ovaltine light drink. Because it contains malt it’s a nice drink to have before bed and aids sleep.
I get my to-do list and write on washi tape and get down all the things I want to get done the next day. Once it’s written down it’s most likely to get done.
I get my skincare products and get off all my make up as I don’t fancy panda eyes in the morning or my pillow covered with foundation. I find it therapeutic.
I have been filling in my Happy Journal by Fearne Cotton since I got it at the beginning of the year. It’s really good to get your thoughts out and into the journal.
I love nothing more than listening to love songs at bedtime they are just very soothing and help me nod off and these two stations never fail to disappoint. Sometimes I listen to a podcast or two instead which are always easy listening.
My hot water bottle always comes to bed with me. I am one of those that needs to be warm to be able to get to sleep. If I can’t get to sleep you will find me nosing through Pinterest for inspiration. It’s easy to get carried away on there.
There you have it my Evening routine. Feel free to click on the links to take you to some of my related posts.
Til next time my beauts
Many apologies for no post on Saturday
I usually write my blog posts and publish them on the same day and it just so happened that we had a few visitors and because the weather was actually nice my Mum took me out for a spin in the wheelchair.
It was so nice to see some sunshine for once. I didn’t need my winter warmers just a hoody.
We ended the day with pie and chips from the chippy. It was bloody lovely.
I hear that England are actually going to have 2/3 days of hot weather this week coming so i best find something summery from last year that still fits fingers crossed.
Heres to a fab week ahead 😘
