Listen to your body

Listening to your body is one of the most important things you need to do.

In 2011 i foolishly snogged a frog and unknown to me I had contracted glandular fever from him. Nice one.

That was in itself a horrendous time in my life…months of no energy and a year of a croaky voice. Life was boring as hell.

Fast forward 3 years and I started having the exact same kind of symptoms and some others on top. I found that simple tasks were unbearable to do I had no strength. I couldn’t focus on anything – my memory was shocking.

Turns out i had M.E ( otherwise known as chronic fatigue or myalgic encephalomyelitis) and it wasn’t going away. I am on the 4th year of having it. I get days where my voice has gone and I have zero energy and other days where I have heaps of energy and you can’t shut me up.

This Sunday just gone was when a huge flare up hit me. The first in I’d say 3 months and i spent 5 days in bed doing not very much at all. All I was able to do was sleep and stare at the walls. The occasional flip though my phone but even that was exhausting.

I listened to my body and rested it until my Fatigue levels were low that I was able to function more normal. I am still without a working voice I sound like a adolescent boy.

My point is when you don’t feel your normal self take some time to take a breather and really take care of yourself . Who else will take care of it if you don’t.

Thanks for stopping by

Til next time
