As I am writing this there are 2 days of May left,
It’s been a lovely one especially for the glorious weather we’ve had… I have actually got a little tan coming on.
Here’s what has also made me happy this month.
This has always been my number one perfume. I reckon I’ve been wearing it on and off for about 6 years. The bonus this month is that I went into Boots to get some toothpaste and happened to catch a glimpse of this in the perfume cabinet. Normally it retails for £37.00 and it was on sale for £29.99. Safe to say it went straight in my bag.
MY MAY PLAYLIST
These are my top 10 songs that I’ve been loving lately. When they come on the radio I can’t help but sing along. Normally on Spotify I am trying to find songs that take me down memory lane but I thought I would listen to more recent hits and I’m impressed.
DISTRESSED DENIM JACKET
I used to have a cropped denim coat a few years back but then I gained a little bit of weight and had to donate it. I went nosing on all the online shops I could think of to try and find a nice one and this beaut was on ASOS. It is now out of stock so I am so relieved that I got it when I did. Since I bought it if I need a jacket its the one I’ve been grabbing every time. Safe to say I love it.
THE KISSING BOOTH
The Kissing Booth was on my recommended films to watch on Netflix. I decided to watch the trailer and I thought it was quite funny so I watched it. I was quite blown away by how emotional I got. They really thought about the storyline. Its more of a coming of age into adulthood type film but at 32 I must say it had me interested from start to end. I won’t tell you what happened but it’s about a girl, her best guy friend and his hunky brother.
I am not one who really plays games but I needed something that was going to be a distraction when a panic attack struck. I stumbled across this game called Free Flow. As you can see above the aim of the game is that you have to connect the same colour dots without interrupting the flow of the rest. It’s one of those games you can easily get lost in and addicted to. I have it on my laptop, my kindle and my phone. It’s definitely one to try.
QUOTE OF THE MONTH
I always like to include a quote that gets you thinking and has meaning behind it and after seeing this one I thought this ones really good I’ll use it here. This one is telling you that no matter what gets your back up or gets you down, if you make the right choices everything will turn out just fine.
Thanks for stopping by to read my post
Til next time…
A follower of my blog notified me and said the Social Media links on my sidebar wasn’t working…
That has now been fixed but I thought I would link them here too along with my new video over on YouTube.
Click on the text above the pics to take you directly to it.
I can’t seem to shrink the youtube video but here it is anyways I uploaded it today.
It will play within the blog post…
Thank you to all of you that follow me on here too. I love my little blogging family.
See you next time
I found this list on one of my boards on Pinterest so i decided to copy it to my whiteboard and put it in my office as a reminder of all things to keep in mind on a daily basis.
I think if you have something positive written down that you can read time and time again it will eventually be something that you will just believe in and know it off by heart.
You can make a list of whatever is going to motivate you or get your happy head on. I find it quite therapeutic making lists. That’s the nerdy part of me.
If you have a spare whiteboard get creative with yours and make a motivational list/ quotes that inspire you.
Yes i did it…
I finally plucked up the courage to do a little video
An introduction to who i am and what i am going to bring to the YouTube channel itself .
As you all know i am all about positivity so i added a bit of that in the video too.
I will be putting one video up a week at the start until i feel more comfortable.
Feel free to subscribe over on my channel
Have an awesome weekend one and all and I’ll see you in my next post.
Thank you for always clearing my head, healing my heart and lifting my spirits.
There are times in life when a lyric in a song can pinpoint exactly how you’re feeling or describe a person to a T.
There are the songs that you can listen to that clear all the unwanted rubbish in your head.
That playlist you know will mend your broken heart. The hurt will stop hurting so much the more you listen to these songs.
Then comes the tunes that perk you up no ends that you listen to endlessly to get you pumped up and ready for pretty much anything.
Music you always know how to make things better.
Thank you xxx
All of us have those films that we watch over and over again…
No matter how you are feeling, you put them on and they do all sorts to your emotions. They could tug at your heartstrings, make you laugh, and be super relatable too.
I have put together a small list of mine
you can probably see a theme…
I mean who wouldn’t want to meet a gorgeous silver fox who turns your life around, you fall in love with him and just by chance he climbs up the side of the building to say will you be mine.
Now and Then
If you grew up in the 90s you will know this legendary film. Its 4 friends all different in their own way growing up, finding the meaning of life, boys and friendship. It’s one I’ll always love til I’m old and wrinkly.
I would hope that if I was to jump up into someone’s arms they would do the lift. I really love everything about the film, the acting, the songs and the quotes – nobody puts baby in a corner. Damn right and nobody puts Holly in a corner either. ha ha.
Cheeky but oh so lovely Hugh Grant with Julia Roberts, I am a fan of hers if you couldn’t tell. Its a funny film but also shows that infact someone with a high profile status can fall in love with the average norm or whatever your name may be.
The first one hands down will always be a favourite. Bridget is one lucky lady having Mark Darcy swooning over her. This is me and my best friends go to film…we use the quotes to make each other laugh. It’s a film that can really be enjoyed no matter how young or old you are.
I love singing along to this film so much. It has my full attention for the full few hours its on. Whitney had that sass about her and those eyes of ‘Farmer’. If you haven’t ever watched this film are you even human?
My Sisters Keeper
There’s always that one film that you love but it makes you cry loads and this is mine. It’s a true eye opener about life with a terminal illness and what a whole family goes through and not just the sufferer. It was such a beautiful film and will always be the one to grab when I feel like getting a bit emosh.
What are your favourites
– New or old?
Thanks for reading, til next time…
As you are reading this now i probably would’ve already been down to the operating theatre.
Over the past month or so my health really hasn’t been that great especially my bladder. I hate to have bladder problems at my age and to have a bladder stoma too is something i really had to get my head round. But I’ve adapted to it.
The reason for surgery is to see if anything untoward is happening and hopefully they can come up with a plan of action.
I want any of you who are reading this that have an underlying health problem of any sort to know this….
Even though life may seem like an uphill struggle at times and bad things always seem to be happening to you. It won’t always be this way. You will come through the storm and come out a better person. I’m telling you but I’m also telling myself this too.
Hopefully I’ll have a post up Saturday/Sunday… if not please bear with me
Thanks for stopping by
