Helen from Helen loves
I hope the blog is a cosy, positive space, promoting wellbeing and self-reflection. I spent years letting anxiety and a lack of self-confidence get in the way of achieving my goals. Now, I’m all about finding tips and tricks to declutter your mind, create positive routines and boost confidence, so you can live the life you love.

Nyxie from Nyxies Nook
I’m a mental health blogger who focuses on eating disorder recovery, depression, anxiety and general wellness of the self. The blog was started in March 2019 in a bid to raise awareness for mental illness such as Anorexia Nervosa and Anxiety, two such disorders I suffer from. However, what started out as a hobby, quickly turned into something much, much more!
Nyxie’s Nook has become a place to talk about all mental health issues and the struggles that come along with recovery. I cover a variety of subjects ranging from general wellness right up to more specific recovery-related content. I not only aim to cater to those in recovery but to people in all walks of life.

Leo from The anxious teach two
My blog is all about my very honest journey of battling my Mental Health diagnosis of anxiety and depression. I talk openly about the ups and downs of MH. I now work as a MH advocate as well as working full time as a teacher.
Watch out for who I have next Friday
Summer is nearly over… I am actually secretly glad as I am a lover of wrapping up and all things autumn.
August has been a scorcher again and I’ve got a little tan which is a first for me
As you know my favourites posts I really look forward to writing and seeing what bought me joy that month.
Here is what I’ve been loving
CONFU FOLDING HAIRDRYER
My other hairdryer had lasted a good 4 years which is a record as I kept breaking them at one point.
I didn’t want a super powerful one as my hair is short so I saw this nifty fold up one for £25 and thought it was perfect for when you go away, and it’s rose gold too.
IPAD PENCIL (APPLE DUPE )
So I downloaded a few sketch apps and then thought I can’t do it with my fingers 🙈 silly me and a plain stylus just wasn’t cutting it. So this Apple Pencil dupe for £27 works on my iPad and also my Huawei and I believe it works on a Samsung phone too and probably an iPhone. I really do love it and I believe the actual apple pencil is £129 or there abouts. So a bargain indeed.
MILANI BIGGER LASHES MASCARA
I have been using this mascara over a few months and I have to say for £10 it’s a lot better than the likes of benefit and L’Oréal. It gives me the full lashes I want without using falsies.
WATERMELON ICE LOLLIES
I’m a sucker for a lolly. No pun intended 🙈
so when we came to do our big shop last week i saw these were on offer £1 for 4 so you can probably guess they didn’t last long.
if you like watermelon and like an ice lolly like me go pick up some of these.
QUOTE OF THE MONTH
I guess we are all one of a kind…it’s a funny but true quote.
Lastly I thought I’d include a song that I’ve loved singing along to
I mean anything that Ed sings is amazing in my eyes…. Blow is by Ed Sheeran, Chris Stapleton and Bruno Mars.

Til next time
Some of us just get out of bed with no routine, no real action plan and that’s absolutely fine. But adding these things to your morning will make it great believe me.
I especially like number 10. Music always gets me pumped.
I may make a evening one soon 😁
Thanks for stopping by

Here is Em introducing herself and her blog
Hi, I’m Em. After not reading much for the past few years I decided to set myself a challenge for 2019. This challenge was to read 25 books in the year. So far at the time of writing this, we are 8 months in I am on 79 books. My blog is a place where I review and talk everything books. I’m fairly new to it (couple of months) but I’m really enjoying it and am starting to trail new ideas.
A few facts about me:
– I own (currently) over 640 books
– I have not read Harry Potter yet, hopefully this will change soon (please don’t hate me)
– I mainly only buy second hand books

Nexts Friday I’ll have more blog featured so keep an eye out.
Do you have those people who you know will be at the end of the phone… If you ring them / message or knock on THEIR door.
But no way would they go out of their way to fit you into their day.
Don’t be made a fool of, or walked over. They’ll make you a laughing stock of you without you knowing.
Be with the ones who will change their plans if you needed them.
The ones who laugh along with you, because they love spending time with you.
Prioritise your people accordingly
Til next time 😘
Laughing It really is the best thing to do every day.
I make sure I’ve done it at least once a day and then I know at some point that day I was happy.
It’s the best medicine and the cheapest form of therapy.
Here are 3 things that will make you laugh
- Friends with memories are great to get your giggle on
- Watching a funny video on YouTube or a comedy
- Looking back at old photos often brings a smile to my face
Always find someone in your life who’s going to make you laugh, I know that’s one of the qualities I look for in a friend or significant other. Unless you wanna be a sour puss and down in the mouth.
I think not.

I paint my nails myself, I’ve never been and had any sort of extensions or gels. My nails are natural and I’m proud of them… Not so when they break right in the quick but let’s hope they don’t do that for a while or else they’ll all have the chop 🙈
So here’s this week’s look
Taken out in my garden as there was sunlight and needed to take advantage of it.
These are the nail varnishes used and I love the 60 second ones from Rimmel.
The technic one is very old but still adds a little something to a plain colour.
I reckon the price was about £9 for all 3 so that’s alot cheaper than going to the salon.
