Get your creative juices going

I have over the last few weeks been trying to find something that can relax me and low and behold I could do it from the comfort of my Ipad.

So I already had a quite neat stylus pen I got a while ago so downloaded a few sketching apps such as Adobe sketch and procreate and just tried to let my creativity flow…

Here is what I have done so far

The last one is of my sister… She thought it was quite funny seeing herself in a sketch and said it was really good for a starter like me.

I hope to improve each time I draw.

Don’t ever shy away from trying something new as you never know if you like it if you don’t try it.

Hello October my old friend

I’ve waited for you all year October.

I love October because….

  • It is now officially autumn
  • It gets darker sooner so can get all snuggled up under fluffy blankets.
  • It’s my birthday in this month
  • Halloween… When not all the trick or treaters don’t come and there’s sweets left over.

It also not the best month for one reason: I lost my brother last year. So it’s always going to be a little bit sad. But I like to remember the happy times I had with him.

What’s your favourite month and why?

Fierce Female Friday Week 3

This week for Fierce Female Friday we have two wonderful ladies…..

Bailey who is a 16 year old lifestyle and skincare blogger who I’ve only just discovered.
Also Gee who is a book, beauty and lifestyle blogger and was featured about a month ago but I wanted her back on here.

So let’s find out what they both said πŸ’•

BAILEY

1. What makes you feel powerful?

Getting dressed up and feeling confident

2. What 3 strong women do you look up to?

My mum, Victoria (in the frow) and Halsey

3. What advice would you give to someone needing to find their inner fierceness?

Just go for it! It’s all about how you feel about yourself.

GEE

1. What makes me feel powerful?

knowing that I have control of my life and I can do whatever I put my mind to.

2. Three women who I look up to

I feel like I answer this the same every time I’m asked a question like this

but my first person would be my old drama teacher who taught me that if you are passionate about something to shout it as loud as you can from the rooftops and never stop because someone else thinks it’s stupid.

Secondly my cousin who honestly has had some pretty bad luck over the years but stands tall and fights through it all

Lastly Megan Jayne Crabbe @bodyposipanda_ because I just think it’s incredible that someone has such an amazing personality and mindset and is promoting something I truly believe in.

3. My advice for finding your inner fierceness would be:

to understand that no matter what you are feeling and whatever is stopping you from being fierce, if you truly believe in yourself and work hard you will achieve all you want to. I feel like when I’m having a small moment where I am not at my best I go back to a quote from one of my favourite films the breakfast club where they say β€œspend a little more time trying to make something of yourself and a little less time trying to impress people. β€œ I think that’s so true, it’s so important to make sure that you are focused on what you want to do.

Wish Bits and bobs

You know and I know that when you buy from wish you really dunno what your getting until it arrives…

Sometimes they’ve sent the wrong thing out (there’s no option for that item so it’s pot luck out of the ones in that description … A Wait and see)

But I thought I’d show you the things I got from there and I like 😊

Love me a phone case that not everyone else is going to have so these two are cool because I love watermelons so these were actually FREE so it was just Β£1 for postage.

I mean who doesn’t want some pretty pens. So these are all different colours. The collection of pens are gel and different colours and the flamingo pen is like biro. Just paying postage for these too which is just great.

This was my first purchase and yes I miss my long hair terribly.

The Tshirt was a bit tight fitting around my derriere so I cut it into a cropped tee and wore a strappy top underneath. Clothes from a different country like China you never know the fit so it’s a take a risk and hope for the best.

These ear pods I was expecting to be piss poor quality and a waste of Β£4 and Β£3 delivery but they have proved themselves and I reckon are up there with apple, obviously the sound quality is not as crisp but if you just want them for general use then they are fab and come in black, white and rose gold.

Lastly a pill box. I always need to take some tablets throughout the day and taking all the boxes can be bulky so just putting what I need in this little cute flamingo box is ideal. I believe it was FREE and Β£1 for postage.

So my advice is have a nose and take the plunge for a couple of quid.

Fierce Female Friday Week 2

This is Hannah who is a mental health nurse by trade, beginning to branch out as a mental health and wellbeing coach.

She’s a mum of 2 and step mum of 4, ages range from 2-18. So home life can be extremely busy, but all good fun.

So let’s get to know Hannah

and what makes her a fierce female

What makes you feel powerful?

I always feel stronger after meditating and finding my inner strength, allowing all the stresses around me melt away. I also look at myself in the mirror and tell myself I am awesome

What 3 strong women do you look up to?

Michelle Obama is an inspiration. I loved reading her autobiography. She is such a down to earth woman who is humbled by all the amazing opportunities that have opened up for her.

Sarah Steckler founder of Mindful Productivity because she is again really down to earth and open about her own struggles through life.

My mum because she has so much confidence in herself. We may not always see eye to eye but her inner strength and conviction is something I aspire to achieve in myself

What advice would you give to someone needing to find their inner fierceness?

I try to remind myself of all the positive things people tell me about myself. And remind myself that if I were to call others all the horrible things I call myself, no one would like me! I highly recommend meditation to help calm the mind and then focus on the positive messages in their life

Please feel free to go follow Hannah on her socials and her blog

The benefits of a facial roller

For a few months I just kept seeing so many influencers and YouTubers using these facial rollers and I caved in and thought I want to try one they look fun.

So I went and found myself one on my old trusty amazon

Mine is a Rose Quartz one, you can get Jade ones that are green and apparently they work differently.

A Jade roller revitalises the skin, wakes it up, makes your sluggish skin into stunning skin

A Rose Quartz roller on the other hand is full of minerals such as silcium, magnesium and Iron.

🌺 The silcium (silica) helps the elasticity in your skin

🌺 The magnesium helps relieve muscle spasms and helps headaches and sinus problems

🌺 The Iron helps regulate blood circulation and eliminates fatigue

So you can see why I chose the Rose Quartz over the Jade.

I guess the Jade one could be used in the morning and the Rose Quartz for the evening.

I find putting mine in the fridge adds a nice cooling effect to the skin.

Here’s the link to mine (I’m not sponsored or affiliated I just think it’s a fab product)

ROSE QUARTZ FACIAL ROLLER

Have any of you used one of these and have you seen any benefits from it?

Bullied for being me

After watching the tear jerking documentary with little mix Jesy Nelson ‘odd one out’ it didn’t half bring back all the feelings of what happened to me.

Life from the age of 11 was not how I envisioned it to be. I guess starting puberty that early didn’t help.

I was pretty much the only one for a few years that suffered with acne which of course made me the target for name calling and just making me feel like shit.

I had even a group of so called friends turn on me and taunt me inside of school and out. Our phone had to be unplugged as they were prank phoning every time you put it down for about 5 hours a day of a weekend πŸ˜” it was horrendous looking back

These would in turn be the ones who beat me black and blue 2 weeks before my exams. My prom photos weren’t the ones I wished for as my face was still too sore for make up.

It took a good 5 years to actually get them out my head and life. But I don’t know why it still happens daily to people. It’s just not called for and it makes me so fierce when you see people take their lives because of it.

Bullies are just insecure about their own lives and instead of facing their problems they make sure someone else is miserable too.

My advice is to never suffer in silence. You deserve a happy life so don’t be made to feel miserable in the process.
