If you have been a reader of my blog for a while you will know that my skin is prone to spots. I dunno if it’s because I started puberty early but all these years later and I still get these pesky buggers on my face.
So I thought I’m going to make a box for when my skin is bad and then don’t have to hunt for all the products, they’ll all be in one place.
Using an old box from Birchbox and turned it upside down so the names on the bottom and filled it with the following
The Tea Tree anti imperfection daily solution which has a pipette ( like those things you used in chemistry at school) you just apply it to the spots before bed and it will help diminish the redness of them.
The anti imperfection night mask works like a dream. I have been using it this month on my face which chose to have a major break out. I’ve had it for ages and never used it. I can say my spots are nearly gone in 4 days of usage.
I love it when spot treatments come in travel sizes cos you can just put them in your handbag and off you go.
The Sebamed is really good if you need to get the oil on your face and under control. Not used it a great deal but definitely worth getting.
You all know that Dermalogica is a worldwide favourite for skincare and this little beauty is great for when you get hormonal spots, it seems to help them alot.
This Laidbare is similar to the Sebamed but is more of a cream. It’s specially formulated for oily to combo skin. Use it sparingly and it’ll last a long time.
Sudocrem has to be my absolute favourite for clearing up my spots. I dunno what’s in it but it works wonders and is only a couple of pounds.
I have only just added these patches and nose strips from Patchology to my box and not used them yet but I have read good things about them so I hope it’s true.
Why not make yourself a special box
I’m usually a person who likes to write her blog posts and post them on the same day.
But sometimes you need to schedule some in amongst other things too.
I am going to schedule posts this week for Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. If my creative juices are flowing I may have some up for the following week too. If not please bear with me while I recover from my operation.
I thought I’d find some pins that’ll help you with the scheduling process too.
I can’t credit the owner as the pins were pinned 🙈
Hope you find them helpful. You could even print them out if you like.
There’s few things that help me at bedtime to nod off…
I swear by this pillow spray by feather and down with its lavender scent it leaves me relaxed and ready for sleep.
My hot water bottle is very much loved and well used. I love being warm when I go to sleep so once its cooled down I like the weight of it on my chest (something to do with anxiety relief (bit like those weighted blankets) … Don’t worry it’s done up super tight.
I suffer with poor circulation in my hands and feet so I like my feet to be kept toastie in bed… Actually at all times. So a pink pair of fluffy socks are usually found on my feet.
Music is so soothing when you play the right kind so either my headphones go on or my Alexa and usually soppy shit on the radio does the trick.
There’s a few apps too… One is insight timer which is a meditation app and the other is Sleepo which has relaxing sounds to sooth you at any time you need it. I love a crackling fire sound.
What are your bedtime essentials?
As you may have seen I’ve been blogging daily… This is because I’m having surgery next week and I’m not sure how long I’ll have a painkiller induced mind for (away with the fairies)
I thought I’d keep writing to I dunno keep myself busy.
So today I thought I’d have a chat about some things that are my all-time favourite things
The Lion, the witch and the wardrobe is my favourite books from my childhood. It was so magical and I’m glad they then made it into The Chronicles of Narnia. Over the last couple of years I discovered the wonderful poet Erin Hanson. So I love flickering through the pages and relate.
These 3 films are a bit old school but I love them and have probably watched them enough to say the whole film word for word.
So random that my favourite food is chippy, sausage, sprouts and chocolate. Obviously not all at the same time.
While searching for a pic of my fave male and female actors there they were stood together and it suddenly dawned on me they were in Mamma Mia together. I think they are bloody wonderful.
My favourite animal did used to be a pig as I was growing up. But over the last 20 years I have loved sheep. I would love one as a pet, but would need a big field for him and then some friends so he didn’t feel lonely 😂
You can kind of guess what my favourite colour is… I wouldn’t say I’m obsessed but I’m half way there.
Hope you’ve enjoyed finding out what makes me happy no matter what.
When it really comes down to it, you become the person you believe you’d become.
If you spend all your thoughts believing you won’t make it, you will never make it.
If you spend all your thoughts thinking that it’s impossible, it becomes impossible for you.
But if you spend your thoughts and energy believing it is possible, it suddenly becomes possible.
Doors will open for you, ideas will come your way. Your dreams will start coming true. You have everything you need within you to live your dreams,
But first of all you have to believe
Sorry had to include that gif in… That was back in my youth so its kind of fitting for todays post. I thought I’d have a look back at the things that remind me of my youth…
These shoes were what were in fashion, I had all three at some point in the late 90’s and the early noughties.
I also owned a pair of pink flared cords quite similar to these Kate Spade ones. I definitely stood out like a sore thumb.
I enjoyed going to gymnastics, so once you mastered the bench turned upside down you were allowed on the balance beam 🙈
My make up bag had these two in and I’m pretty sure I was patchy, and orange and the blemishes were not concealed. But hey we learn by our mistakes
Finally these two mags. What sex education we weren’t getting in school we sure were getting them in here. I believe most of us 16 year old girls would flick through the pages of more to see what sex position of the fortnight was. Ha ha.
Feel free to share something that reminds you of your school days as a teenager.
