Happy Days of July

I BRING YOU MY

d78c5d258b0294f046798be1a06dd8ee

I’ve definitely had some brilliant times throughout July that I guess can outweigh the crappy moments. So I thought from my hospital bed I will bring you the memories of my July.

At the start of the month I went to see Dirty Dancing on stage with my Mum, my friend Jayne and her Mum. It’s my favourite film up there with Bridget Jones of course…if only they made that into a musical. It was fantastic such talented people and it had everyone singing their hearts out and quoting the best bits. A must see if you haven’t seen it already.

rainbowIt was Gay Pride on the same day as Dirty Dancing and even though we weren’t attending it when we got there we were right in the middle of it. It was so lovely to see the sheer amount of people supporting the LGBT community. I’ve never seen so much creativity. There was glitter galore and obviously plenty of rainbows and a few women body painted their boobs too. Saw no painted penises though maybe they weren’t that brave.

My Best friend of 31 years Jessica also named Trev came over for a long awaited girly evening one Saturday and we honestly haven’t laughed so much in all our lives we were reminiscing about all the funny things we used to get up to and how we really haven’t changed still just as silly. We watched Notting Hill in between taking snapchat videos and had some nibbles and Trev got slightly trollied. I had one just to be sociable.

This pretty little peach has been to visit a few times this month. She’s my youngest niece Daisy and she brings a smile to my face every time I see her. We have had plenty of giggles out in my newly revamped garden. Seeing her look at stuff we are doing and being so knowing. I can’t wait til we can sit and have a conversation together and I look forward to when she calls me Auntie Hol. She turns one at the end of the month. So got another reason to spoil her lots.

Lastly, the sunshine days we have been having has lifted my mood up an brought out my freckles too and gave my a slight tan but nothing to write home about.

That’s it for July lets see what August brings

Let that shit go

I now have a place at the bottom of the garden where it feels so zen and peaceful and it’s simplistic.

A place where I can take myself off to and get into the state of mind where i  can forget about the crap things that have happened and channel my positivity instead.

I’m not spiritual or religious but I’m all for getting rid of negativity that’s around you and not holding too much anger in for too long. It’s not good for you physically or mentally. What’s the saying…

‘LET THAT SHIT GO’

So I aim to go down to this humble place in the evening before bed and give myself time to put myself in a happy mindset ready for the next day.

Think a pair of headphones may be needed so I can blast my panpipes/acoustic tunes and not get frowned upon by the neighbours.

What do you do to wind down?

Good Moaning its Monday

08053266f93f9b6a579aba208df983f5

Oh my goodness really is it really here? I want the weekend to be here already I hear you say. I bloody hate Monday. Well, guess what…..

c276586d93d63b4519bd4608398d0d3e

For years and years the word Monday sends peoples blood pressures shooting up, as they dread the start of the week ahead. The weekends gone and its ages until it comes back around again.

Heres some humour to get you out the Monday blues…

I’m picturing Rod Stewart right now but he looks pretty hot with his crazy hair so not every mullet is hideous.

I guess that we can look at it as not every Monday is the same and some you will shudder at and others you will grow to like.

You needn’t be in a slump for the entire day, starting a week on a bad feeling is just asking for a shit week ahead.

Put a smile on your face, a big pair of positive pants on and make a list of goals you want to smash for the next 7 days and stroll into the week with your head held high.

I found this quote and thought I would add it in at the end32104f8553e2209ffef6d647f9a2c346

Much loves and a Happy Monday to you all

Take your top off if you wish:My thoughts

I have never wrote anything like this on my blog but it was something that was bought to my attention as the weather has got hotter here in England. So i thought why not speak up about it.

I myself grew up hating my body because society said that going through puberty and becoming a woman you were most likely going to get picked on because you had spots and curves and boobs coming way too early and you just didn’t fit in with everyone elses body your age.

I NOW DON’T LET ANYONE TELL ME THAT THE BODY I WAS BORN WITH ISN’T BEAUTIFUL AND I CELEBRATE IT EACH AND EVERY DAY

BUT THIS REALLY GETS TO ME BEING A WOMAN….

19398609_10155519609829479_774930107_n

I see all of these men at the moment walking around with their shirts off some of them are well into their 70s but thats not the issue here. its very acceptable for a man to get his chest out because he is hot but as soon as we decide that maybe we are too hot for a top too its bang out of order.

I DISAGREE

Having a pair of boobs, breasts, tits whatever you want to call them is an amazing thing and not in the way that A LOT of narrow minded people see them…they see them as sexual objects and that they should only be out when you want some attention to them like sex or just for someone to say – ” nice pair love”

The female breasts should be treated no differently than a mans. Having yours out of clothes should be free kind of feeling and not a oh my god i am sending out the wrong message. Some people have to have them removed or reconstructed for medical reasons and that should never be frowned upon . They should be celebrated no matter how big or small they are…they feed children which is something pretty awesome in itself.

If it became legal and acceptable i would not be ashamed to put mine on show as i’m proud of what i have and nobody should ever put anybody’s body down

JUST CONCENTRATE ON YOUR OWN

Question Time: Yes i have…No i haven’t

questions

ITS QUESTION TIME

I asked what kind of post you would like to see and a personal one was in favour so i came up with this one which you can get to know me a little better.

HAVE YOU EVER?

SKIPPED A CLASS: I tried not to make it a habit but sometimes i couldn’t help it and ended up going home at lunch and didn’t go back for the rest of the day (bullies didn’t help)

DONE DRUGS: Do i look that silly? Not something that’s ever appealed to me

SELF HARMED: I have had some low moments in my life as i have suffered with depression on and off  but its only ever been a slight thought never acted upon it.

SHOP LIFTED: I have only done it twice. Once when i was at my local sweet shop i put some sweets in my pocket when the shop keeper wasn’t looking, she must have had eyes in the back of her head cos i had to give them back. Second was a freebie on the front of the mag. Wasn’t allowed the magazine so i put the freebie in mums handbag. She gave me a bollocking when she found it.

WHATS YOUR FAVOURITE….

SHOW: I have two they are both oldies…The Fresh Prince Of Bel Air and the Golden Girls. Thanks to Amazon prime/Netflix for my Will Smith fix and Mum for buying me the Golden Girls box set.

FILM: Without a doubt it has to be Bridget Jones. The first one obviously. I have a few others that come very close that i’ll do in a later blog post. Bridget is so relatable,  quotable, funny and has some lovely eye candy too.

SONG: Everything i do (i do it for you) by Bryan Adams. I have loved it since i heard it on a jukebox when i was 6 years old. Now i am old enough to understand lyrics it has so much more meaning to it.

BOOK: The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe by C.S Lewis. I thought of how magical it was the first time i read it that there could be a whole different world in the back of the wardrobe i soon found out there wasn’t.

WHATS YOUR OPINION ON….

GAY RIGHTS: Love has no labels so those who discriminate are the ones in the wrong. I applaud the LGBT community for standing up to the haters and not changing for nobody.

SECOND CHANCES: I believe everybody deserves a second chance but that’s it. No third, fourth or fifth. If you do you may as well have mug tattooed on your forehead.

SEX ON A FIRST DATE: If i was to have sex on the first date (which i don’t) it would certainly not turn into anything more serious than a one time thing. Love isn’t built on sleeping with someone when you only met them a few hours before.

DO YOU…

HAVE A STRONG ACCENT: Although i live in the countryside i don’t think i sound as broad as some of the people so i have that to be thankful for.

HAVE ANY SCARS: I have a massive scar from where i had my bladder operation. The actual Bladder stoma itself is tiny but where they opened me up is quite sizable but luckily my knickers hide it.

BELIEVE IN LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT: I really do believe that you could fall in love with someone just by looking at them but when you get to know them as a person is when you really know if its true love or just infatuation.

I hope you enjoyed getting to know me a little better.

Monday Motivation 101

3ad2c6414bc4675137b8a9fd69e000db

Its Monday, the beginning of a new week and most of us get that immediate feeling of dread of oh no its Monday. Yes it’s the end of a weekend where you probably could relax a bit more and enjoy a bit of freedom but now its the start of a brand new week and it should be exciting and not mundane.

If you have these 3 things then great if not they would be worth investing in

A collection of Sticky Notes

A Diary to keep events in etc

A Planner Pad

0445276_l

  • With your sticky notes write some positive affirmations on there to get you in  fabulous mood for the week ahead. No matter how silly you think they are if they are going to perk you up and make you feel good its worth it every time.
  • Keeping a diary is one of the best things you can do. Not only can you put in things that you can look forward to but also the things that have made you happy. One productive thing no matter how small should be noted. The little things can become the big things one day.
  • You can pick these planner pads up pretty cheap i think mine was £2 from Wilkos.  They are really good if you need a kick up the bum to get chores done. Kind of like a to do list but with a much better layout and looks prettier than a tatty piece of paper.

I have gathered a few motivational quotes on this slideshow especially for getting you in the mood for Mondays…You can also follow my Motivational board over on Pinterest.

Remember it doesn’t have to be a Monday to get motivated it just helps start the week off fresh. That’s the way i look at it.

Have a fab week …
