It’s now the year 2021, and a warm welcome to my readers old and new. Here in England its absolutely freezing and i am cuddling a hot water bottle as i type.

I thought it would be a fab idea to start off with a post on setting and accomplishing goals. We all need something to aim for even if there is a lot of uncertainty about at the moment.

There are 7 points that if you follow them i am pretty sure you will achieve your goals. What worked before? What didn’t? What do you want to improve on and achieve?

EVALUATE YOUR SITUATION – Assessing your past and present situation is key to setting goals tailored for you.What worked before? What didn’t? Based on these what do you want to improve on and achieve?

MAKE IT SMARTER
S – Specific
M – Measurable
A – Attainable
R – Relevant
T – Time bound
E– Evaluative
R– Revisable

  • WRITE IT DOWN – write down your goals to clarify and strengthen your intentions.
  • BREAK IT DOWN – Break down your goals into small and manageable steps to overcome overwhelming yourself.
  • HOLD YOURSELF ACCOUNTABLE – hold yourself accountable by maintaining focus and discipline throughout your process.
  • REWARD YOURSELF – rewarding yourself will help you reinforce the positive actions you’ve taken so you can continue doing it.
  • DEVELOP SYSTEMS AND HABITS – Effective systems and habits make it easier for you to accomplish your goals on a regular basis.
  • BREAK IT DOWN – Break down your goals into small and manageable steps to overcome overwhelming yourself.
  • HOLD YOURSELF ACCOUNTABLE – hold yourself accountable by maintaining focus and discipline throughout your process.

The goals i have set out i used this wellness wheel as a template…i will go into more depth on this wheel in a later post but its really useful in my opinion.

I promise i will share my goals too but for now i need to get SMARTER and apply myself to each one in turn.
