Reinventing Yourself

When I say reinvent yourself I don’t mean make yourself into someone else / someone who will be totally unrecognisable to your friends & family.

I mean changing a few things in life to make it better for you and make you happier in the process.

❤️ Give your style a overhaul if you feel like your in a slump. I know that I need to do that as my wardrobe is a mish mash of all sorts.

❤️ If your hair colour has been the same or the length of your hair is getting you down give it a bit of life and treat yourself. It’s amazing how a hair app can alter you completely. I’m growing my hair but once I’m healed from surgery I’m definitely going to treat myself to a colour.

❤️ Re-evaluate the people you have in your life that don’t make you feel good about yourself they need to go. Fill your life with inspiring people who make you feel happy everytime you see them. I have only the people who appreciate me and bring a smile to my face daily.

❤️ Changing the hobbies you have, if you had any at all to ones you’ll enjoy going to and not find them a chore. Whether it’s arts and crafts or something sporty you’ll find enjoyment in something and that’ll become your passion in life. I love writing poetry and when I’m feeling brave I sketch even though I’m not that good I find sketching therapeutic.

See just having a few changes in life can alter how you spend your days.

Hello July

Hello and welcome to July.

As I’m writing this its the 1st day of the month.

Its been a boiling hot day yet again, so i haven’t been able to sit in the cool and write until now which is 9pm to be precise.

I am one of those people that are all about starting the month on a good note.

I’m taking a week off Facebook so i can concentrate on me and my wellbeing and not worry about what others are doing/moaning about.

I am not going to let myself be walked over like a mug. I deserve better, so the guy who I’ve been swooning over has had far too many ‘I’ll let you offs’. I need someone who worships the ground i walk on…more like wheel myself on ha ha.

This month is all about self love and self care for me. I don’t want added stress. I need to focus on making me a priority for once.

Do this for yourself too. Know your worth and add tax as they say – who ever they is.

I’ve been thinking

Well my little brain has been doing a spot of overtime thinking. Especially all things blogging.

I want to try and cover as many topics as i can. Ones i enjoy writing and also what others can relate to and get help from.

These are the ones i have come up with

I have also been writing on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays of late. I think I’m going to just post as and when for a few weeks and see how it goes…i will definitely keep you updated if i start doing set days again.

How I’m going to improve myself as a blogger

If I’m being totally honest…

I haven’t been putting my all into my blog and I know I’m a poorly person generally but it is no excuse to give less attention to something I love.

So here are a few things I am going to apply from today onwards

Make time in the evening to go through WordPress reader and Bloglovin and read blogs. I do read blogs and comment don’t get me wrong but I don’t do it as often as I should…so I’ll be giving all your blogs some love for sure if I’m following you.

Apply myself a bit more with all social media platforms that I’ve put into a table I made above and make sure I do something every day on each. Its all about the fab people in the blogging community.

I bought my Sony A5000 about 3 years ago and the reason I didn’t spend about 200 more on a more technical one is that I don’t use it to excess…most of my pics are taken on my phone. I do want to start using my camera now the weather is getting a bit better. Then I can share my snaps with you.

Last year I used to take part in a lot of Twitter chats most nights actually and I’ve made some really lovely blogger friends through it. However, I kind of pushed my evenings of chats to one side and like we do get engrossed in YouTube. I need to find some balance for both. Because both are equally as enjoyable…but to be fair twitter chats are interactive so here is my pledge to engage more.

Don’t be afraid of change

I know I tell you don’t change for anyone… I still stand by that.

Today I want to talk about making a change for you, and not being afraid of it.

You need to have those special people around you. The ones that would be there for you in a drop of a hat and you vice versa. Not the ones that you’re just wishing had spare time for you.

Comparing yourself to others is the worst thing that you can do. You need to remember you were born this way and ain’t nobody gonna make you a sheep. Start loving wonderful you and love every tiny bit of your life.

You may not be where you want to be. The thing to do is to change the way you think and the way of life you live now and if you aren’t living a happy and fulfilling life then you need to get a plan of action going.

It’s always better to think of all the positive things happening in your life than the ones that are trying to get you down. Focus on the good and forget the bad..or tackle your problem head on to make a negative a positive.

Remember positive people lead positive lives.

Hair transformation – Before and after

Today I thought I would take you on a hair journey…

This is from December last year where I couldn’t tie my hair up and the highlights were kind of ombre

Then I remember letting my hair colour grow out and in April/May time I treated myself to some highlights and I could actually wear my hair in a tiny ponytail. I did like it blonde for the summer, gives it that sunkissed look

Then I became ill over the summer and didn’t do anything to it apart from wash it and when it got long enough I was able to plait it which is always a hair goal in itself.

Once I got home from the hospital in the middle of November I picked up a box of hair dye from boots and because they didn’t have the colour I was after I just got a semi that was meant to be amber and came out quite brown and after about 6-7 washes was fading quite a bit.

Its now a few weeks before Christmas and I decided to brave it with the colour that I originally wanted to do it…

I ordered it on Boots.com apparently our local store is too small to stock all colours so bear that in mind if you don’t see the colour you want.

I am just keeping my fingers crossed it stays this colour

Pick yourself up, dust yourself off and try again

First of all I’ll hold my hands up and say I’ve been here a fair few times. I’m not ashamed to say it as I want to help those who feel in a spot of bother and need that helping hand.

Feeling like your not worth anything is one of the worst feeling in the world, but with strength and determination, you can get back to being a happier positive you.First things first you have to remember you are the only one in this race and there is no comparing yourself  with anyone else.

Don’t think about how other people see you it’s how you see you and once you start believing you can move mountains others will see that too and you can give yourself a pat on the back or a self 5.

Everyone has goals they just don’t broadcast them you can chose to shy away and conquer them quietly or do them loud and proud. The choice is yours.

Grab yourself a notebook and jot down things you want to accomplish, make bullet points on how to achieve it and one point at a time you can tick it off. Put your mind to it and you will succeed.

To help you on this positive journey think about all the tiny things you did today, this week or this month. Whether you helped someone else or yourself.

Even if you managed to do some ironing that has been piled sky high since goodness knows when or maybe it was that 20-minute walk you wanted to build up to do.It’s something you’ve managed to put your mind to and do. You need to give yourself more self-praise.
Last but no means least you need to start loving yourself for the wonderful person you are.  Yes I’m on about you.

Making a list of 10 things that you think are good qualities about yourself will definitely perk your self-esteem and I bet you could go beyond the 10 things.

Life is for living, so pick yourself up, dust yourself off and try again.
