Organise yourself

This post can apply at any time but I think January is the optimum time to do it.

Of course having one diary can of course be helpful… But sometimes if you are a stationery addict and like getting your shit together then include some of these kind of notebooks/ journals below.

So this is a weekly spread type diary. Where you can quickly note down what you have to do or have done. I like to use this for keeping track of when my blog posts have been published. To look back on the topics with ease. Love the little note section on the opposite side, really helpful.

This is my book I write in every night. It has a space at the top to write what went on in the day, you could even draw there instead. It also asks you a question that gets you thinking. I like the concept of that.

This notepad only arrived yesterday and I was so excited. It has so many pages and 10 sections. Got to plan what subjects are going in there. It was really affordable and can be used for literally anything.

Lastly I have a 5 minute ls before bed journal which I don’t think would see you through the year so it’s one to more down special things in. I want it to be a positive thought provoking one. But you can use them as you wish. I had it for Christmas but I am pretty sure Paperchase still do it.

Am I the only stationery obsessed one around here, i hope not.

10 years ago to now

Let’s take you back 10 years to the year 2009.

That January I had started the year with a hurting heart from being dumped just after Christmas. Turned out the bloke was a right dickhead.

I had lost a bit of weight in 2009 too after having my gallbladder out a few months before, so I was about 8 and a half stone.

Mum and me were also searching for a house as we had sold our house and needed to find one fast to move into. It was part of her divorce so decided to look for rented property. Just after Christmas that year we found it and moved in there in the Jan of 2010.

So now it’s the end of 2019 and wow what a year its been.

I started the year having my bladder out, and having a stoma, which has been quite a problematic thing so more surgery is needed soon.

I have found out who I really am, with my spirituality, my sexuality (I will fall in love with whoever I find attractive regardless of gender … Simple as that) and found out how strong I can be in shitty situations.

I’ve lost a friend I thought would always have my back, her loss. But also gained a really awesome friend she was in my year at school and I’m so glad to have her in my life as she makes me laugh so much and it feels like we’ve been good friends since like forever.

Day in the life…

I say day in the life, this isn’t a typical day it’s what happened today.

I had to get up super early as we are having our ensuite made into a wet room so I can manoeuvre about a bit as our shower was tiny and when my mobility is crap it wasn’t very practical. So the work men have been in since Monday.

Mum had to wash my hair over the sink in the kitchen this morning, luckily it’s short and doesn’t take too long.

Then mid morning I had to go have some blood tests as after the op I had they need to do it every 3-4 months to keep an eye. I’m also getting tested for diabetes as I’ve not been feeling full par of late and a few symptoms of type 2 are what I’m experiencing. I’ll let you know what that outcome is.

So naughty I know but mum treated me and her to a chippy lunch. We normally have one naughty day and that was today. It was really yummy.

My anxiety and chronic fatigue has been playing up lately so I took myself up to my room this afternoon and just led on top of my bed and tried to zone out… Bit hard with the banging from the work men but it’ll be worth all the noise.

Still wearing this smile at the end of the day.

What are you writing about?

From when you were small and you learnt to write your name….

Little did you know that you would be writing your whole life.

Though we all use writing differently.

If you are reading my blog and you blog too then you have a talent with your writing, or if you are an author I take my hat off to you too.

These 3 books play an important role in my life.

This is my journal where I write down whatever comes into my head I think is worth writing down and looking back at.

This one is where I see all the self care tips and those hacks and such like I put them in here so I know when I need some encouragement it’s in here.

Finally this is where I write all my ideas for blog ideas and of course my future book when I get round to writing it.

I write pretty much all the time as I adore it so much.

The Diary of a Pinkaholic

Hey my lovely ones,

I wanted to have somewhere where I could just randomly blog daily about whatever came to mind that I also wanted to share with whoever wanted a read. I felt that here on Holzieloves wasn’t the right place and decided to make a second blog.

Holzieloves is going to be 3 this year and I have built it up to help inspire, share my tips, my life experiences, and to entertain and I intend to keep it that way.

So my second blog is called THE DIARY OF A PINKAHOLIC and it is what it says. I have always kept a diary of some sort and i adore pink. Don’t worry the blog doesn’t talk about pink all the time. It’s whatever is going on that day and a little bit of my humour too.

Time To Take Note

I have this book that i had last Christmas that hasn’t even been wrote in – typical stationery addict. It’s been sat in a drawer waiting patiently for his day.

Well i have decided that this coming year he will be very much used.

This is food for thought for you too.

Start off the new year with a new book – the more pages the better. Each day make sure you pick up this book and write a page in it. No matter what it is.

It could be

  • A to do list
  • A log of what you did that day
  • A dream you had and you want to relay back to it.
  • Plans for a future project/outing

Literally anything you want.

It will get you into the habit of writing and not just the digital form.

Keep a diary separate as the book will then just become a diary. You want to make it much more than that.

There will be some really nice ones out there this time of year with Christmas sales and all that.

Hope you are all pretty much prepared for next week, for just one day. But let’s be honest it’s a special roast we’ve been waiting for all year.
