The Week Ahead

Looking back on the week we just had…

On Tuesday I took Mum out for a meal as she had to work all day on her birthday Wednesday. The diet went out the window as we made little piggies of ourselves. It was lovely and then we walked home which hopefully burnt off the yummy banoffee cheesecake.

On the hottest day (Friday) i suggested to Mum it was too nice to stay in or around our neck of the woods and maybe we should jump on the bus and go shopping. We came back with some lovely things. 2 baths were definitely needed to cool down when we got home.

The weekend was quiet apart from the enormous thunderstorm early hours of sat mornings.

This week I don’t really have anything planned so I’m going to see where it takes me and report back. I hope you all have a fantastic week 🌸

Feeling Hot Hot Hot

Today we can say we have some summer sun even though it’s not technically summer until the 21st June.

If you live in England you will probably agree with me it’s bloody hot. Normally we toy with the idea of wrapping ourselves up in blankets or briefly putting the heating on but the weather man is being good to us.

I somehow got the pale gene so I have to be a tad bit careful when exposing myself to that glorious sun. If only I could go starkers  in my secluded back garden.

Beach days are something to look forward to and my little niece is growing up fast so sandcastles and a baby splash in the sea is definitely worth taking my camera and maybe there will be some talent too. Shouldn’t take pics of them just observe.

I will definitely be doing some more summer posts just thought I’d write a quick one today.

Look after yourself in the sun, keep protected and please don’t look like a lobster it’s not an attractive look and you’ll hurt like a bitch 😁

Inspirational quotes

I always tried to fit in back in the day now I make sure I stand out a mile. You don’t have to change completely just be yourself.

This always reminds me of Macy Grays song ‘I try’ . In life things are going to trip you up make it look like you were meant to and it was a dance move all along.

We all make mistakes some big, some small just remember what it taught you and move on with life. Nobody’s perfect.

When you are trying to be strong you want someone to believe in you and give you the support you want. Well here’s the sign.

No truer words spoken. A quote is like a lyric if you understand it it can have the biggest impact on your life. Ideas make dreams a reality too so never stop writing down your weird and wonderful ideas.

The Week Ahead

Well I thought I would make this post a weekly thing. Which will be a summery of last week and a look at the week ahead.

We all know things don’t always go to plan as last week I blogged every day but I was recovering in bed from swollen glands and low blood pressure but I didn’t want it to get in the way of my passion for writing. Plus it peed it down for the majority of the week so I wasn’t overly fussed. However the week did end on a happy note my brother, his partner and baby girl visited and we managed a stroll into town. Then we went to my uncles for a lush roast dinner. If you’re not from England you are seriously missing out.

So today’s Monday it’s 23 degrees which is rare for British people but long may it last that’s all I say. We are having our garden made over the best input I get to do is paint the shed a pretty colour so I’m looking forward to when I can get stuck into that. I purchased a hula hoop so it’s my new hobbie and I aim to be a pro by the end of the summer. Wishful thinking 🙂

It’s my Mums birthday Wednesday so I’m going to spoil her rotten cos she deserves it she’s something kind of wonderful and I owe her my heart she does so much for me since becoming ill and before that too.

Whatever else the week brings let’s hope it’s all positive.

Gonna go grab the sun cream as pale old me doesn’t fancy sunburn. I hope you all have a fabulous week.

Much loves 😘

Weekend vibes

Friday – The day that you know that you just need to get to 5pm and you can wave bye bye to your worries til Monday

Plans are made for the weekend whether it’s fun filled or a nice relaxing one. The saying goes live for the weekend.

It’s crazy to think they are only a word but mean so much.

img_9646
As I’ve got older I just see where the mood takes me of a weekend. Back in the day it was clubbing and drinking and being hungover…those days have long gone.

img_9634-1
The good thing about the weekend if you don’t have to work is switching your alarm off and sleeping in til noon if you fancy.

Then when it gets to the end of the weekend don’t look at Monday as being full of dread until the weekend keep this quote in mind.

Throwback: Beauty Products of the 90s

Since i spent most of my teenage years in the 90s and it was when i first started experimenting with different beauty products…i wasn’t allowed to touch my mums small collection of lipsticks. Mum is a natural beauty and doesn’t wear much slap 🙂

Lets take a trip down old memory lane and see what i found/remembered:

Rimmel Hide The Blemish Concealer

My first item of make up i owned that i just used to apply under my eyes and on my spots i must of looked a right plank. I think that Rimmel still make the exact same concealer.

11df7b2cb805bb360c3832c277bfe0dd

Bourjois Volume Clubbing Blue Mascara

Blue mascara was the rage i really dunno why as it looked bloody hideous well it did on me but because i wanted to fit in i wore it hideously well.

Wella Shaders & Toners

I bought these literally every week as my mum used to say your not old enough to start messing about with your hair. They were Cheap too so spending a little pocket money on them was well worth it.

The Signature Scent

In my school bag was always a Charlie Pink. i didn’t understand when people had the red or the black one. Guess my obsession for pink started then.

Every Christmas my mum would slip a Tommy Girl into my stocking it was tradition and my brother had the male equivalent.

The exclamation was what my sister used to wear i wasn’t a fan but when i had forgot my Charlie it was better than nothing.

All three of these are still available to buy shows that some things never go out of fashion.

Johnsons Holiday Skin

I can’t help but laugh. I had gone a bit silly with it as i thought it was idiot proof but i had started gradually doing it on my arms and then distributing to other areas of my body only for it to be patchy and streaky as hell. Mum had to scrub me to get it off. Lets just say it went in the bin once used…Never again.

Johnsons Baby Powder

The days before Batiste Dry Shampoo came good old Talc. On the days when i just couldn’t be assed to wash my hair so i supported a slap head ponytail and a fluffy full fringe what an attractive look.

I blame the products for my mishaps…if they hadn’t of made them i wouldn’t have looked so silly.

But hey lessons are learnt growing up and the 90s was memorable for sure.
