Five Planner Essentials

Today I thought I would talk you through these helpful things that help me plan a bit better than just plain old pen and paper.

I want you to know this, you can use these 5 essentials for anything in life not just blogging.

AN A3 WHITEBOARD

I bought this in Whsmiths sometime last year for £6.99 I think I am pretty sure they still will be in there now. I have used a piece of pink card cut up into how many topics I want to cover wrote on with a sharpie to stand out and stuck on with magnetic tape which you can buy from Amazon for under a fiver.  I find that when I am planning blog posts I can bring down the relevant one and do a spidergram with all my ideas. I really do find it really handy. I then either take a pic on the phone of my ideas and add to OneNote or write it in a book.

A DIY TO DO LIST

I made this to help me stay on track with what I had to do whether it was blog related or not it, and its super helpful. Write your thing to do on the tape and stick it up there on the board, when its done take it down..simple. I bought the mini clipboard from good old Wilkos The sticky blackboard paper and coloured tape from Amazon. These are two places I love to get my stationary from as its so cheap.

A SELECTION OF NOTELETS AND WEEKLY PLANNER SHEETS

When out shopping and I come across notelets or weekly planners you can guarantee I’ve grabbed one or the other off the shelf and shoved it in my basket. They are great if you have an idea but don’t want to use up a whole sheet of paper or don’t have your technology to hand. The prettier they are sometimes you don’t want to use them. I got the first one in the sale in Primark for £3 possibly less, and the last two in HomeSense.I wish these had online stores, I would be penniless and many of you too.

A NOTEBOOK FOR LITERALLY ANYTHING

I bought this years ago but I can’t remember where, and I didn’t write in it as I thought I want it to be organised and just about one thing when in fact the list on the front said it all write all sorts in there. So that’s what I have started to do. If you want to keep it in some sort of order then adapt it to your needs with an index, washi tape for marked pages, however, you wish.

AN INSPIRATION PINBOARD

Go pick up a large pinboard from your local supermarket or stationery store, open up Pinterest and look for some inspiration that’s going to keep you going when you are writing.  These are a few I printed out a few months ago and I do need to add a few more. You could make it into a vision board, put all your notes on it, photographs of people that make you smile or your cat or dog…you really can use it for anything.

There you have it I thought I would stick to 5 as I could have gone on and on. I’d love to hear what things you use to plan/organise yourselves.

Have a fab day and thanks for reading

Til next time…

Good Moaning its Monday

Oh my goodness really is it really here? I want the weekend to be here already I hear you say. I bloody hate Monday. Well, guess what…..

For years and years the word Monday sends peoples blood pressures shooting up, as they dread the start of the week ahead. The weekends gone and its ages until it comes back around again.

Heres some humour to get you out the Monday blues…

I’m picturing Rod Stewart right now but he looks pretty hot with his crazy hair so not every mullet is hideous.

I guess that we can look at it as not every Monday is the same and some you will shudder at and others you will grow to like.

You needn’t be in a slump for the entire day, starting a week on a bad feeling is just asking for a shit week ahead.

Put a smile on your face, a big pair of positive pants on and make a list of goals you want to smash for the next 7 days and stroll into the week with your head held high.

Much loves and a Happy Monday to you all

Motivation Monday: How to lead a more happier life

I totally get it you can’t be super happy all the time but you can however make life less Meh and more Yay. So I have come up with some valid points on how to achieve a happier prospective on life.

  1. Don’t compare yourself to someone else, they are them and you are you and both of you are on different journeys in life
  2. Try to stay away from thinking negitively. This will only put you in a foul mood. positivity all the way.
  3. Leave the past in the past its where it belongs. It can’t be changed. Look forward to the future with bright ideas.
  4. Appreciate the little things in life as they can be a big impact on how you feel.
  5. Stop complaining on what what could go wrong and make sure it always goes right.
  6. Find something to laugh or smile about everyday. Happier people live happier lives.

Motivation Monday: How to stay on top

I will hold my hands up and say I need to take a few bits of my own advice.

Being motivated

Not just because it’s a new year but because it will make you happy once you’ve achieved it.

  • As the saying goes take baby steps, one step at a time and plan your way to what you are striving towards. The world wasn’t built in a day so take your time.
  • Surround yourself with Positivity. Me personally I love pinterest it has all the quotes you could ever want and more to get you feeling good about yourself.
  • Be your own biggest fan. Believe in yourself. Tell yourself you are amazing and you can do anything you put your mind to.
  • Do not be defined by the number on the scales. If you are happy as you are then good for you but from experience the scales can make you cry. Learn to love your reflection in the mirror and sod any haters.
  • Write down to do lists so you have a plan of action and you can feel truly satisfied when you have ticked everything off on the list.
  • Reward yourself when you have done good. Buy that pair of shoes you’ve been eyeing up. Go see that film. You’re worth it.

Life’s for living so while you are young, able and healthy go out and live it to its fullest.
