As you may have seen I’ve been blogging daily… This is because I’m having surgery next week and I’m not sure how long I’ll have a painkiller induced mind for (away with the fairies)
I thought I’d keep writing to I dunno keep myself busy.
So today I thought I’d have a chat about some things that are my all-time favourite things
The Lion, the witch and the wardrobe is my favourite books from my childhood. It was so magical and I’m glad they then made it into The Chronicles of Narnia. Over the last couple of years I discovered the wonderful poet Erin Hanson. So I love flickering through the pages and relate.
These 3 films are a bit old school but I love them and have probably watched them enough to say the whole film word for word.
So random that my favourite food is chippy, sausage, sprouts and chocolate. Obviously not all at the same time.
While searching for a pic of my fave male and female actors there they were stood together and it suddenly dawned on me they were in Mamma Mia together. I think they are bloody wonderful.
My favourite animal did used to be a pig as I was growing up. But over the last 20 years I have loved sheep. I would love one as a pet, but would need a big field for him and then some friends so he didn’t feel lonely 😂
You can kind of guess what my favourite colour is… I wouldn’t say I’m obsessed but I’m half way there.
Hope you’ve enjoyed finding out what makes me happy no matter what.
October is coming to a close and November is waiting in the wings
I am quite sad October can’t go on for longer it’s my favourite month of the year
Anyways let’s get back to why we are here.
These things brought me joy this month.
Mum asked me if there was anything specific that I wanted for my birthday… Well I had seen these on ASOS and said these would be perfect (for when we in England get dry days) so this was what she got me. Normally I don’t get any named trainers but they were pink and they did half sizes so I was happy I could get them.
I think I may have mentioned these before. They are by Rowntree – the people who make fruit pastilles they make these ice lollies too.
They are so bloody yum and I think about 60 calories so don’t worry if you are on a healthy diet these would be a great pick for a treat.
SELF CARE BOOK
I got some books a couple of weeks ago as I need to get my nerd on. I’m a writer, but when it comes to books I need to try concentrate on getting it finished. This one is a self help book and at the mo it’s got 5 stars from me. It’s small enough to fit into a inside coat pocket or a handbag.
BOURJOIS LIP DUO SCULPT
Last month I went in search for a lipstick that was autumn appropriate in its shade and long lasting. The shade is like the colour of my nails. I believe in this range there’s another 2 or 3. Superdrug or boots normally have make up offers so go spoil yourself.
ROCKETMAN ON DVD
This was another thing I had for my birthday, this was from my Sister.
If you haven’t heard of it it’s a story of Elton John’s life. It was quite sad to see what he went through to get to where he is now . It did have Happy moments in it and alot of his music. So if you like films that are like musicals, you’ll love this one.
QUOTE OF THE MONTH
Not much of an explanation needed just some people are worth the second chance and some are not worth your energy.
I hope you have had a lovely October…
Feel free to leave below something that made your month
All of us have those films that we watch over and over again…
No matter how you are feeling, you put them on and they do all sorts to your emotions. They could tug at your heartstrings, make you laugh, and be super relatable too.
I have put together a small list of mine
you can probably see a theme…
I mean who wouldn’t want to meet a gorgeous silver fox who turns your life around, you fall in love with him and just by chance he climbs up the side of the building to say will you be mine.
Now and Then
If you grew up in the 90s you will know this legendary film. Its 4 friends all different in their own way growing up, finding the meaning of life, boys and friendship. It’s one I’ll always love til I’m old and wrinkly.
I would hope that if I was to jump up into someone’s arms they would do the lift. I really love everything about the film, the acting, the songs and the quotes – nobody puts baby in a corner. Damn right and nobody puts Holly in a corner either. ha ha.
Cheeky but oh so lovely Hugh Grant with Julia Roberts, I am a fan of hers if you couldn’t tell. Its a funny film but also shows that infact someone with a high profile status can fall in love with the average norm or whatever your name may be.
The first one hands down will always be a favourite. Bridget is one lucky lady having Mark Darcy swooning over her. This is me and my best friends go to film…we use the quotes to make each other laugh. It’s a film that can really be enjoyed no matter how young or old you are.
I love singing along to this film so much. It has my full attention for the full few hours its on. Whitney had that sass about her and those eyes of ‘Farmer’. If you haven’t ever watched this film are you even human?
My Sisters Keeper
There’s always that one film that you love but it makes you cry loads and this is mine. It’s a true eye opener about life with a terminal illness and what a whole family goes through and not just the sufferer. It was such a beautiful film and will always be the one to grab when I feel like getting a bit emosh.
I love doing a monthly favourites post it makes me think of all the things that made me happy that month.
Without further ado here’s Februarys.
The legend that is Bridget Jones…I have been waiting for this to come out on DVD as I was poorly when it was in the cinema. It certainly did not disappoint. Though it had a few more swear words than expected it was still the best rom com of this year so far. The eye candy was second to none too.
I had been looking for a handbag for absolute ages. I just didn’t want a plain old handbag. I wanted one that served a purpose and was stylish too. it was reduced from £109 to £28 so I loved it even more then.
Personally I didn’t want to spend nearly £100 on a FITBIT or an APPLE watch so while I was browsing good old Amazon I saw this TONUX watch. it does everything the others do and for a quarter of the price. My Brothers girlfriend liked mine so much she has one now. I wear mine everyday without fail and I am shocked at how many steps I do a day.
Even though I have had this since just after Christmas I have become very attatched to it. It is so handy for my blogging and fits in my handbag too. The picture quality is fantastic for watching Netflix and YouTube and you can also lie it completely flat and read a book on it too. When I want 40 winks I reach for these beauts. I got them as a present and I think they are pretty as well as being practical. I can add them to my collection of many.
MY FAVOURITE SONG
EMELI SANDE -HIGH AND LOWS
Its a very upbeat song and it has me singing every time I hear it.
