Day in the life…

I say day in the life, this isn’t a typical day it’s what happened today.

I had to get up super early as we are having our ensuite made into a wet room so I can manoeuvre about a bit as our shower was tiny and when my mobility is crap it wasn’t very practical. So the work men have been in since Monday.

Mum had to wash my hair over the sink in the kitchen this morning, luckily it’s short and doesn’t take too long.

Then mid morning I had to go have some blood tests as after the op I had they need to do it every 3-4 months to keep an eye. I’m also getting tested for diabetes as I’ve not been feeling full par of late and a few symptoms of type 2 are what I’m experiencing. I’ll let you know what that outcome is.

So naughty I know but mum treated me and her to a chippy lunch. We normally have one naughty day and that was today. It was really yummy.

My anxiety and chronic fatigue has been playing up lately so I took myself up to my room this afternoon and just led on top of my bed and tried to zone out… Bit hard with the banging from the work men but it’ll be worth all the noise.

Still wearing this smile at the end of the day.

Gonna say nighty night and I hope you all have had a great day.

I am someone who…

For old readers and new i thought this would be an easy read and since its baking hot today it’ll just be what comes to mind, as i love to blog and publish on the same day. like keeping it fresh…so here goes

I AM SOMEONE WHO

LOVES : Spending time with others who make me feel alive (happy, giggly and loved)

HATES : Backstabbers, gossips and fakery – they are just the worst

CANT: Go a day without eating either cheese or chocolate…oh or mayo

CAN: be there for those who need me and perk someone up when they are feeling down.

WILL NEVER: Give up when my illness is trying to irritate the hell out of me.

HAS: Been on a rough journey through life (bullying, sexual abuse, divorce of parents, lost my brother and chronic illness) and still i smile though it all.

CANT WAIT TO: Get my writing head back on and write and publish a book suitable for everyone – self help me thinks

HAS NEVER: Tried drugs, i mean each to their own but it doesn’t float my boat or appeal to me in any way.

WISHES: There was a cure for Cancer and Dementia as its two of the most cruelest diseases ever.

TRIED: To learn to drive but i had bad anxiety and just lost all confidence. Give me a road with nobody else driving on it and i’ll be fine.

USUALLY FORGETS: what i go upstairs for, then come back downstairs to then remember. so annoying.

WILL PROBABLY END UP: that old bird with a pink rinse and probably a perm.

IS THANKFUL FOR: all the thoughtful people i have in my life, the roof i have over my head and the things we all take for granted like our phones and laptops.

Anyway, there you have it, i guess you know me a little better than you did before.

Let me think about it

It’s Saturday night it’s been so bloody hot today here in England.

Oh this is my thinking face too ๐Ÿ™ˆ

  • 5 favourite celebrities : Micky Flanagan, Colin Firth, Meryl Streep, Phillip Schofield and Cameron Diaz (3 eye candy and 2 fab women)
  • 5 favourite words/sayings you use too much: peachy, beaut, I love it, you’re special, ya (like the German for yeah) that ones just become a habit ๐Ÿ™ˆ
  • 5 favourite movies of all time : Bridget Jones Diary – the first one, Now and then, 10 things I hate about you, The kissing booth and of course Dirty Dancing…. There’s so many than 5 I’ll do a blog post on it at a later date.
  • 5 favourite pictures on my phone that are not people :

and finally

5 favourite quotes:

  1. live well, laugh often, love much.
  2. If it doesn’t make me feel fabulous I don’t want it.
  3. The greater the storm the brighter the rainbow.
  4. Love yourself like your not waiting for someone else to do it
  5. It’s not about the size you wear but how you wear your size.

Hope you enjoyed the read ๐ŸŒธ

Weโ€™re half way there

So it’s nearly the end of June, the 6th month of the year, half way through the year of 2019 and I think it’s great to look back and write down what things have occurred and how it’s changed you/ your life

So grab a pen and paper and write down the questions I’m going to answer, you’ll be pleasantly surprised

๐ŸŒž NAME THREE CHANGES YOU’VE ACTIVELY MADE ?

– I have cared less about people who don’t give two hoots about me

– I have gone through my big surgery to try better my health

– I have started looking into spiritual things and being more chilled than stressed

๐ŸŒž WHATS THE BEST ADVICE YOU’VE HEARD?

Don’t give up on what you love, on yourself and on those you love ( would I?… NEVER )

I guess on those days when you think why do I bother doing this, nobody cares, yes they do and the one person that it should really matter who cares is you,so stop doubting yourself .

๐ŸŒž ONE WORD TO DESCRIBE THIS YEAR SO FAR?

I’d have to say TRYING. Our family as a whole have been through the mill over the past 6 months so at this point in time I think that’s my word.

๐ŸŒž BEST MOVIE YOU’VE WATCHED THIS YEAR?

Without a doubt it has to be Bohemian Rhapsody, I adore Freddie Mercury and all he was. His music, his carefree attitude and all round from the film you can see he’d been through things we never knew. A true legend that will live on in many peoples hearts

๐ŸŒž FAVOURITE SONG?

SingridDon’t feel like crying

This year this song has appeared on the radio when I felt a bit tearful and it was almost like a sign to say cheer up, you don’t really feel like crying.

๐ŸŒž ONE GOAL YOU ARE STILL STRIVING FOR?

I want to make a difference to people who like myself suffer from anxiety so whether it’s a book or some project or I may even get creative and make some relievers ( they definitely help me ) so if I could make some for others that’ll be great.

I find a bit of reflection is therapeutic if you just let yourself go and just write โœ๐Ÿป

Thanks for stopping by

Did you not feel anything?

You know last month
The guy i told you i was going to stop being in contact with because he wasn’t making me feel special…silly me thought if i just hang on a little longer he may change.

Yesterday evening i sent him a message that i deserve better but thanks for the laughs because theres no denying that we were always laughing. I didn’t get a reply or anything. So today i done the done thing and blocked him.

I am not a shallow person by any means but it’ll stop it all together. I deserve someone who sees my flaws and takes me just as i am, and puts in the effort that he just didn’t. It was a one sided kinda thing. I should have known that he was not the one as the months went by but 6 months and not even asking me to be his girl…i think i just liked the little attention he did pay me.

What’s that saying there’s plenty more fish in the sea. I guess having a disability i think who’s gonna want me in a wheelchair with all my other added problems…i think i have my answer, The right one.
