I have been growing my hair for the last 2 years and got it the longest its been since i was about 12.
I had a throwback photo come up on my facebook memories a couple weeks ago and it was me with super short hair. I saved the pic to my phone and went back to it a few times to admire it. It really did used to suit me. Could i pull it off again?
My hair today went from this length…
Then put in pigtails and snipped off.
A whole ten inches. I have decided to donate it to the little princess trust to help them to make a wig for children with cancer. It’s such a worthy cause.
Here’s my new hair do courtesy of my sister – who also happens to be a hairdresser.

What’s a random act of kindness you’ve done?
Last week I published my very first podcast – which was an introduction to what my little series would include, along with a few little light hearted stories for good measure.
I enjoyed it very much because I can just chat into my iPad freely and then add some music at the start and the end and then submit it on a Wednesday – which is today.
I just picked the middle of the week because that’s generally when people need a bit of a pick me up.
So this week I focused on self love and looking at other then pampering what could help. I think I came up with a good ten tips.

You know the moment you can stand infront of the mirror and stare at your reflection and think hmm it’s not a bad looking body after all. That’s when you know that body confidence is starting to grow from inside you.
I’ve found some inspiration on good old Pinterest with some quotes that will help you recognise the true body beautiful that is yours and then use them to motivate that self love in you.
I can hold my hands up now and say after years of not loving my imperfect body you my darling body you’re bloody awesome. Operation scars, cellulite, stretch marks and the odd spots.
I give you this mission to find the body beautiful within you too.
Hello and welcome to July.
As I’m writing this its the 1st day of the month.
Its been a boiling hot day yet again, so i haven’t been able to sit in the cool and write until now which is 9pm to be precise.
I am one of those people that are all about starting the month on a good note.
I’m taking a week off Facebook so i can concentrate on me and my wellbeing and not worry about what others are doing/moaning about.
I am not going to let myself be walked over like a mug. I deserve better, so the guy who I’ve been swooning over has had far too many ‘I’ll let you offs’. I need someone who worships the ground i walk on…more like wheel myself on ha ha.
This month is all about self love and self care for me. I don’t want added stress. I need to focus on making me a priority for once.
Do this for yourself too. Know your worth and add tax as they say – who ever they is.

I know I tell you don’t change for anyone… I still stand by that.
Today I want to talk about making a change for you, and not being afraid of it.
You need to have those special people around you. The ones that would be there for you in a drop of a hat and you vice versa. Not the ones that you’re just wishing had spare time for you.
Comparing yourself to others is the worst thing that you can do. You need to remember you were born this way and ain’t nobody gonna make you a sheep. Start loving wonderful you and love every tiny bit of your life.
You may not be where you want to be. The thing to do is to change the way you think and the way of life you live now and if you aren’t living a happy and fulfilling life then you need to get a plan of action going.
It’s always better to think of all the positive things happening in your life than the ones that are trying to get you down. Focus on the good and forget the bad..or tackle your problem head on to make a negative a positive.
Remember positive people lead positive lives.

We all need to look after ourselves.
I know some of you are thinking- ‘I don’t have time for that’….oh yes you do.
I am pretty sure you can spare 5 minutes and devote it just to you.
Here are 10 ways you can apply a bit of self-love and it will make you feel so much better afterwards
- Grab a pen and some paper and write down 5 things that make you happy – then read them back and feel that smile on your face and in your heart,
- Listen to your favourite song, even put it on repeat if you like, sing along or dance. Enjoy how it makes you feel.
- Prepare your favourite meal/ snack. Have a little feast, It won’t hurt every once in a while.
- Light a candle, one with a scent that makes you go mmm. Get all nostalgic. Don’t forget to blow it out once you’re done.
- Pamper yourself by applying a face mask or painting your nails. One deserves a pampering every once in a while
- Read some of your favourite quotes – Make a board on Pinterest and keep adding to it. In times of need, they can be powerful.
- Put on an outfit that you love, or a colour that makes you feel good, or your favourite PJs.
- Do a quick yoga session or just sit in peace and meditate. Don’t think of anything in particular. Just be in the now.
- Make yourself a hot chocolate or a yummy smoothie and just enjoy.
- Soak in the bath or have a nice long shower and just appreciate the me time.
There you have it.
