Monthly favourites – MAY

It’s the last day of May today, summer is finally upon us.

I always bring you a monthly favourites so here is this months

My Favourite song – Lola by The Kinks

This song is an old love. It’s been on a few Spotify playlists so a good excuse to listen to it and sing along slightly out of tune too. I said to my mum years ago if I could change my name from Holly I would choose Lola. I think it’s quirky and different.

App of the Month – Colour Checker / Asana

I like to make To Do Lists and then tick as I go. Sometimes my iPad/phone is nearer to me than a notepad so it’s easier to make my lists there.

Both of these are great apps. The colour checker is a simple one you can colour code your goal/ chore / thing to complete. Asana you can break things down and even delegate to others if you add their email to your app account. I find this one helpful if I have bullet points for my blog posts and pics to not quite put on here quite yet. Think a blogger would benefit from either of these.

Quote of the month –

No matter what things you go through in life, there will be happier times and this quote will give you comfort in knowing that. Got to love a quote with a positive message.

Favourite Tech bits

My MPOW wireless headphones I’ve had a while. I really do love shutting out the world and listen to my music, watch a film or a YouTube video at the end of the day these are perfect if you can’t afford beats or can’t justify spending over 100 pounds on headphones.

I have never had an all singing all dancing printer. The two I’ve had before were meant to be wireless but have ended up not connecting and then the paper getting stuck. So mum treated us to this one the HP Envy 5032. It is touch screen, so even mum can understand how to use it. There’s this instant ink too that you get 13 months free then only £1.99 a month for 50 prints which is perfect for me as I don’t print out loads.

Think that’s a long enough post, don’t want you nodding off.

June, I’m ready for you.

Hope you’ve had a fab May.

See you in my next post

My Monthly Favourites For December

First of all i want to congratulate myself.

I’ve actually managed to stick to a whole year of writing my monthly favourites…small accomplishments and all that.

Anyways lets get on with this months faves.

FAVOURITE SONG

Play by Jax Jones and Years and years. It’s one I’ve very recently discovered and i absolutely love it.

FAVOURITE FOOD

These were things I’d never tried before but without a doubt I’d have it again and again – obviously had sprouts before but not with anything added to them. Stollen is a German cake i think with marzipan, fruit and other yummy things and looks a bit like fruit loaf but it’s so much more fancier.

FAVOURITE APPS

I Really enjoy my instagram stories and it’s good to try stand out. I think last month i done pocket video which can be used anywhere on social. But these 3 are especially for Instagram. Worth downloading to have a play around.

FAVOURITE QUOTE

The quote speaks for itself and doesn’t really need any explanation.

So December is nearly over and it’s been one hell of a month. Roll on the new year i say.

I do hope you all still aren’t eating turkey sandwiches.

(Got to be a long standing Christmas joke)

TTFN – ta ta for now for all who were thinking what on earth does that mean

LISTEN UP #2 – WEEKLY INSTALMENT

Last week I published my very first podcast – which was an introduction to what my little series would include, along with a few little light hearted stories for good measure.

I enjoyed it very much because I can just chat into my iPad freely and then add some music at the start and the end and then submit it on a Wednesday – which is today.

I just picked the middle of the week because that’s generally when people need a bit of a pick me up.

So this week I focused on self love and looking at other then pampering what could help. I think I came up with a good ten tips.

I have been verified on iTunes now so if you have apple here is the link

10 SELF LOVE TIPS ON ITUNES PODCAST

If you don’t here’s a clickable podcast on soundcloud – pretty sure if you press the play button on it then it will just play on here.

I will update you next week once I’ve uploaded it. Please feel free to mention some things you wouldn’t mind listening to on there I’m a very open person.

Til next time

Much loves xx

Dear Music

Dear Music,

Thank you for always clearing my head, healing my heart and lifting my spirits.

There are times in life when a lyric in a song can pinpoint exactly how you’re feeling or describe a person to a T.

There are the songs that you can listen to that clear all the unwanted rubbish in your head.

That playlist you know will mend your broken heart. The hurt will stop hurting so much the more you listen to these songs.

Then comes the tunes that perk you up no ends that you listen to endlessly to get you pumped up and ready for pretty much anything.

Music you always know how to make things better.

Thank you xxx

How do you blog?

If you are a blogger, chances are your office/work area looks very similar to this pic.

  • Your notepad with all the amazing ideas you have jotted down ready to type up and make them into an awesome blog post.
  • A cuppa of whatever you fancy. Something that’s going to keep you alert.
  • Your Phone/iPad to transfer any photos you have taken and edited ready for when you hit publish.
  • Some beauty products to apply inbetween your pauses…your thinking time.
  • Something to nibble on that’s going to give you a boost of energy to see you through your blogging sesh.
  • Your trusty laptop/computer where all the magic happens and you put the final touches and then promote from once your blog post goes live.

There are more bits of course that help along the way in the blogging process. Those above are to name a few.

We all have certain ways also on how we plan and put together a post. No two people are the same. That’s what makes us unique.

If you are new I post here on my lifestyle blog 3 times a week normally Tues/Thurs/Sat

See you in my next post

Til next time…

QUEEN GREATEST HITS – HOW CAN YOU NOT LOVE FREDDIE MERCURY.

PERSONAL

This gorgeous little peach…my niece Daisy came over to visit me and Mum and we were both shocked when she got down off my brothers lap and ran across the room. My eyes filled with tears of Joy. I got her to say Hol Hol too which made me smile. Being an auntie is one of the best feelings in the world. You feel so loved. I became one at 12 and they’ve just kept coming since.

QUOTE OF THE MONTH:

BEING THERE FOR SOMEONE ELSE BRINGS WARMTH TO YOUR HEART AS WELL AS THEIRS SO WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO LOSE?

Thanks for having a nosey and I’ll see you in my next post…
